Andy Appiah Kubi beaten ‘wototwoto’ in Asante Akim North parliamentary results

Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi has lost the seat to an independent candidate, Ohene Kwame Frimpong in a landslide defeat.

According to reports the independent candidate won with 26,926 votes, while Mr. Appiah-Kubi got 8,933 votes.

Provisional results from the 2024 general elections have started dripping in, as an early glimpse of the nation’s voting trends.

Ghanaians have voted to elect a president and 276 parliamentarians for the next four-year tenure.

The 18,774,159 voters cast their ballots at polling stations in all 276 constituencies in the 16 regions of the country.
