Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Special aide to the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama has blamed the failure of the Akufo-Addo led administration on the lack of discipline.
According to her, President Akufo-Addo failed in managing and putting his house in order for the last eight (8) years.
In an interview post the National Democracy Congress’ (NDC) election victory, she said, “Akufo-Addo wasn’t that consummate diplomat we thought he was. He was also not very tactful. Largely he couldn’t even discipline his immediate background of family and friends.”
Joyce Bawa Mogtari stated categorically that President Akufo-Addo and his government of family and friends “run this country literally aground.”
She indicated that Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also played a role in running Ghana aground. “Bawumia is no different. Go to COCOBOD his brothers are there. A man who spoke against sole sourced contracts and his own people are benefitting from them.”
The December 7, 2024 elections saw the NDC win overwhelmingly at the polls, securing some 188 seats in parliament.
John Dramani also polled 6,328,397 votes representing 56.55%, while the vice president and presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, secured 4, 657, 304, representing 41.61% of total votes cast.
