Kwame Asare Obeng commonly known as A-Plus has won the Gomoa East parliamentary seat after contesting as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate.

According to the collated results A Plus beat the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) incumbent MP, Naana Eyiah Quansah.
A Plus took to social media to claim victory a few hours after the constituency polls closed without even waiting for an official declaration by the Electoral Commission.
In total of 123 polling stations were collated with five yet to be collated.
