A member of the Movement for Change team, Andrew Appiah Danquah, has shared his thoughts on the 2024 elections, stating that the “gap” in the political landscape is a direct result of poor leadership. Speaking on TV3 Danquah reflected on comments made by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who had expressed confidence in winning the election but seemed concerned about the gap.
“I must say I’m not surprised. In fact, I’ve had the opportunity to speak to Hon. Sorogo, and I told him that despite the Vice President’s words about winning the election and focusing on the gap, we knew that the gap would be against him.”
Danquah emphasized the significance of change, saying, “We called for change, and even though we may not have achieved the exact change we wanted, the shift that removes the New Patriotic Party and sends a message that bad leadership has consequences is a change we must welcome.”
“We need to reset Ghana restore political and economic credibility. With Mahama’s leadership and our support, we can achieve that,” he said.
He advised politicians not to overlook the gap, warning, “If you deliver kwashiorkor leadership, you will be given a gap a very big gap.”
