Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale has advised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to give up all parliamentary seats.
According to him, there is no need for NPP parliamentary candidates to argue about who won which seat when they do not have pink sheets to back them up.
Speaking at the Electoral Commissions (EC) regional collation center, Malik Basintale said, “The NPP does not have pick sheets then they should go home. If you don’t have pink sheets, we don’t colalte resilts with pink slips. We collate results with pink sheets. So they should go home and give us victory.”
He admonished the party to follow the steps of their presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and conceded to the NDC.
The NDC has won an overwhelming number of parliamentary seats in the just ended December 7 election.
Presently the NDC has won 162 seats with the NPP having 65 seats and with 3 seats won by independent candidates.
With more results still trickling in, the NDC is expected to win more seats.
