The Ghana Police service has arrested a man for carrying a weapon at the St Theresa School polling station in the Okaikwei South constituency.
The man, identified as Michael Allotey, a party agent was carrying a gun concealed in his clothing.
It is unclear which of the political parties he is an agent for.
The police upon swift action spotted and whisked him away.
He is currently in police custody assisting the police in carrying out their investigation.
Ghana’s 2024 general elections is currently underway across the country as Ghanaians vote to decide their next president and parliamentarian for the next four years.
In total 18 million registered voters are set to decide the nation’s next president and the structure of the 275-member Parliament.
