Vice Presidential Candidate in the December 7, 2024 general elections, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO is making a false claim against president elect, John Dramani Mahama with respect to improving the dollar to cedi rate.
According to him, Mahama promised to improve the cedi to sell at GH¢5 to $1.
Although there’s no proof Mahama made such promise, Napo added also added that President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama pledged to drop the price of kenkey to GH¢1 when he’s sworn into office on January 7, 2025.
According to Napo, he is waiting for Mahama to deliver his promise to Ghanaians.
In a recent interview, he said, “Ghanaians saw everything Akufo Addo did for them and said they don’t want his government, we have heard.”
“Also, President Elect John Dramani Mahama said he will bring the dollar rate to GH¢5 and bring the price of kenkey to GH¢1 and give all Ghanaians ‘nkokonketekete’, so we can all have money in our pockets. We are waiting for him”.
Our checks however reveals that no such promise was made by President-elect John Mahama
His comments have sparked controversy on social media as most people are asking when and where the president elect made such promises as they have not heard any of such statements from him.
