Flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has told the constituents of Krachi East and Oti Region to Vote massively against the NPP because, they have used their land to build a plywood hospital for rats and lizards instead of humans.
Addressing the large crowd during his campaign on November 5, 2024, the former President seeking a return to the Jubilee House, said to the people gathered that, the government refused to build them a regional hospital due their votes against them in the 2020 elections. He said, the chiefs demarcated a vast land to be used for the construction of a regional hospital but government has neglected them.
“The Chiefs demarcated lands to be used for the construction of a hospital because the government promised to build one. They have rather built plywood structures on the land and have left it to be invaded by rats, snakes and lizards, in fact they have built a plywood hospital”, he said.
According to him, every region and its capital is characterized by four major developmental infrastructure and the major of them is a regional hospital. He pledged to build one to replace the wooden structure on the land provided if he becomes president 2025.
