Women’s Champions League: Each team receives $150,000 from CAF

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has  given each of the participating clubs in the Women’s Champions League an amount of $150,000 as a means of support and tournament boost.

The tournament which will be hosted in Morocco has eight qualified teams participating. The financial support provided by the Federation forms part of its promise to promote women’s football in the continent and also to ensure some level of competitiveness.

This year’s prize pool has seen a remarkable increase of 52%, bringing the total to $ 2,350,000. Such a significant rise in financial rewards underscores the Federation’s dedication to fostering talent and encouraging more women to pursue football as a viable career path.
