Founder of IMANI Centre for Policy and Education Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has raised serious questions on the whereabouts of Ghana’s recently acquired train, which arrived from Poland.
The train was intended to operate on the Tema-Mpakadan railway line and was involved in an accident during a test run in the Asuogyaman district.
According to the Ministry, the train stumbled upon an immobile vehicle placed directly across the rail track.
Reports gathered indicate the damage caused to the train is up to the tune of $2,138,466.66.
The Minister for Railways Development, John Peter Amewu however, explained that repairing the train involved in the accident during the test run will not be on the state per purchase agreement.
Franklin Cudjoe today 5 November 2024 has taken to his social media page on X and has quizzed Ghanaians and the government on the whereabouts of the train.
He wrote on X, “Where is our Train that got sidetracked? What is going on?”
