Kwame Baffoe, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman commonly known as Abronye DC has threatened to kill any NDC supporter who tries to cause mayhem in the 2024 polls.
According to Abronye DC, the NDC is planning to cause mayhem at the collation centers in order to change the figures in the December polls.
Speaking in a leaked audio shared on X, Abronye stated, “They are planning to go to the collation center to engage in a gunshot there to sack people there, so they can change the figures, tell them that in 2020 some men went to Techiman that they were going to cause mayhem, that does not go with the laws of Ghana, all those young men died and did not go back home”.
“Tell them that the young men who went to Techiman to cause mayhem all died and didn’t go home, those men at Wenchi who are saying 7 December are going to cause confusion at Wenchi, cause confusion at Tein, and in Banda tell them that Techiman incident is there, and should they make any mistake and think they will not obey the laws of Ghana, things that happened at Techiman the worse would happen”, he boldly stated.
Two people were confirmed dead while several people were also said to have sustained gunshot wounds following a shooting incident at the Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East Region.
Meanwhile, the High Court in Wenchi has directed the state to pay GHc45,000 each as damages to six persons who suffered varying degrees of injuries during the shooting incident.
