Pedro Goncalves, the hea coach of the Angolan National Team, ahead of their clash with the Black Stars has decided to throw tantrums on the quality of pitch Ghana gave them to play on and the ones they will be playing on in Angola

“”We will play good football with wonderful players, a great atmosphere, a good stadium, and a great pitch. We will do our best to beat one of the best teams in Africa, he said.

In a post-match conference after the Ghana –Angola clash in Kumasi, the Angolan Coach complained bitterly on the nature of the pitches in Ghana. His concerns raised eyebrows, leading the Confederation of African Football to blacklist all national stadiums in Ghana for international games.

Coach Goncalves, seems not to have gotten over the bad pitch situation as he has stirred another debate over quality football pitches as they ready themselves to host the Black Stars in Luanda, the capital of Angola. He has shared that they will play good football with wonderful players, a great atmosphere, a good stadium, and a great pitch.

Acknowledging that Ghana despite their recent poor form, still remain one of the best teams on the continent. The Angolan team got away with a 1:0 victory over the Black Stars and are hoping to either keep a draw or edge over the Ghanaian team with another win.

The Black Stars, who are set to fly to Angola on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, are preparing for a crucial match day five encounter in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Despite Angola’s early qualification, the stakes remain high for Ghana as they look to secure their spot in the tournament.
