This initiative forms part of his broader vision to expand access to education and reduce financial barriers to higher learning for all Ghanaians.

In his upcoming address, Dr. Bawumia will emphasize his commitment to continuing and enhancing key educational programs, including the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) and Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

These programs have become pillars of Ghana’s educational system, and Bawumia is expected to outline strategies for their continuation and further expansion.

Acknowledging the financial challenges that prevent many students from accessing tertiary education, Dr. Bawumia will discuss his plans to ensure that no Senior High School graduate is left behind due to cost barriers, reinforcing his vision for an inclusive educational pathway for every Ghanaian youth.

In addition to the educational initiative, Dr. Bawumia recently addressed the issue of youth unemployment during a meeting with Ghanaian youth on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

He shared his approach for creating job opportunities and reducing unemployment through targeted initiatives, which he will further elaborate on if given the mandate.

The event will also feature Ghana’s Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, who will present a detailed plan on behalf of Dr. Bawumia.

Dr. Adutwum is expected to focus on the NPP’s commitment to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, which is key to preparing Ghana’s youth for the demands of an increasingly technological world.
