A viral video of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tolon, Dr. Osman Tahidu Damba sharing 10 cedis for votes surfaces.
In the viral video shared on social media, the NDC parliamentary candidate was captured surrounded by some constituents of Tolon, with some in NDC T-shirts.
Dr. Osman Tahidu Damba was shown in the video giving out 10 cedis to the Tolon residents gathered around him.
Many Ghanaians on social media have been speculating that the NDC parliamentary candidate is engaging in vote-buying with his distribution of 10 cedis in the viral video.
The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has been urging law enforcement agencies to enforce laws that ban the trend of vote-buying by politicians and voters in Ghana during election periods.
The electoral observer aired concern over reported occurrences of vote-buying in some parts of the country.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians go to the polls in 12 days to decide their next president and their members of parliament for the next four years.
