The Ashanti regional minister Simon Osei Mensah has boldly declared under the 1992 constitution no government has performed better than the Akufo-Addo government.
Simon Osei Mensah asserted that the only one who came close to the Akufo-Addo Bawumia administration was former president John Agyekum Kufuor.
According to him, he is not saying former president John Agyekum Kufuor did not perform when he was in office, but Akufo-Addo studied under him so corrected the weakness in Kufuor’s administration.
Speaking in an interview with GHONE TV Serwaa Amihere, Simon Osei Mensah stated, “What I will say is that, under the 1992 constitution or democratic dispensation, no government has performed better than Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and Dr. Alhaji Bawumia’s government”.
“The next person who comes very close to Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia’s government is former president John Agyekum Kufuor”, he emphasized.
The Ashanti regional minister further reiterated, “I am not saying he didn’t perform if you study from somebody definitely you will learn the strengths and study the weaknesses and you improve upon the weaknesses”.
