The move by the government is purported to keep an eye on al government appointees and employees on their operations and dissemination of duties. It also purposed to check corruptive engagements of government appointees including heads of governmental agencies in the country.

All these steps by the government also includes the restriction of pornographic videos on social media in the country. The bold step of the government of Equatorial Guinea comes on the back of a Government Official’s recording of over 400 sex tapes with wives of Ministers and other dignitaries majorly in his governmental office.

Reacting to the news of the news initiative, some netizens on social media seems unpleased with what the government has sought to achieve. They are of the view that, the CCTV camera will not stop people from having sexual intercourse with other people’s wives, hence they will book hotels for their activities.

Whiles some praised the government for their timely though late initiative, others feel it will also give chance for hotel owners to cash out and those installing the CCTV camera to also help perpetuators of such sexual acts in government offices hack the system.
