Malik Basintale noted that some flagbearers are going around telling Ghanaians to vote for them because they are Muslim.

Speaking to the members of Assemblies of God when he worshipped with them, Malik Basintale stated, “Today I am not here to ask you to vote for John Mahama simply because he is a Christian, I have heard other flagbearers say vote for me because I am a Muslim, vote for me because I am a traditionalist”.

“Anytime you go to the filling station to fill your tank they don’t ask you whether you are a Christian or a Muslim before filling your tank, if you go to buy waakye they don’t ask you are you a Christian or a Muslim before selling the waakye to you”, he emphasized.

Malik Basintale further reiterated, “Today the wahala we find ourselves in does not know Christians, it does not know Muslims, it does not now traditionalists, all it knows is that the wahala was bestowed on us by Alhaji Bawumia”.
