Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah and Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global InfoAnalytics, have engaged in a heated exchange over a recent poll conducted by the organization.
The banter took place on X (formerly Twitter), where Nana Aba Anamoah questioned the credibility of the poll results.
In her remarks, Anamoah acknowledged Dankwah’s “personal confidence” in the polls but raised concerns over the small sample size, suggesting that when the sample represents only a fraction of the electorate, the results and methodology should be scrutinized.
In a quick rebuttal, Mussa K. Dankwah responded by pointing out that calculating the required sample size for a given population is straightforward and readily available online.
He wrote: “For a voting population of 18.7 million, with a 95% confidence level and a 1.9% margin of error, the minimum sample size needed is about 2,600.
Please, take your calculator and try this next time before criticizing someone’s sample size.”
This exchange has sparked a lively conversation on X, with many weighing in on the debate.
The only thing worse than ignorance is false knowledge. Rosemond Nana Aba Anamoah is a classical example. pic.twitter.com/UbVlEiX2vS
