The leader of the NPP caucus in parliament Alexander Afenyo-Markin has angrily confronted a Channel One TV reporter.
According to Afenyo Markins, the media should stop describing him as the leader of the NPP caucus in parliament but rather as the Majority Leader after the court pronouncement to restore the status quo.
Confronting the reporter he angry stated, “I have been watching you the court has pronounced, stop describing me as the leader of the NPP caucus. You should know better and say the right thing”.
“For the purpose of education, the speaker made a pronouncement the court has ruled, you have lawyers as sitting, I don’t know your experience in reporting but once a court has made a pronouncement to restore the status quo don’t say that I am saying, you as the reporter there have been two rulings confirming that, so don’t continue to describe me as leader of NPP caucus is that okay, don’t tell the public that”, he reiterated.
Afenyo-Markin in another media interaction boldly stated he would never sit on the minority side in parliament, according to him, he will never sit in the seat of the Minority Leader due to what he describes as spiritual reasons.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on the Supreme Court as they prepare to give their verdict today, the outcome is likely to have significant implications for parliamentary procedures.
