The usage of TikTok in Africa, Ghana especially has not been to its best as it is in other continents and country.
While the likes of Chinese and other Technology minded countries are using TikTok to their greater advantage, our Ghanaian story is very different. Some Ghanaians, the majority being women have resorted to TikTok to sell their body for sexual purpose.
They create channels, go on live streaming and advertise their sexual and bedamatic services. Characterized by girls between the ages of 20 and above, they put out their numbers and detail their bedroom services ranging from sex chats, video calls, hook ups and the rest.
Shocking enough is when men also join in to brostitute themselves also advertising their services. This questions whether Africans or Ghanaians are really taking positive advantage of Technology and it’s advancement or not.
