Two government agencies have been fingered in the abduction of the Airport Services manager for Emirates Airlines in Accra, Madam Sylvia Baah who was reported missing since Thursday.

According to reports gathered Madam Sylvia Baah’s abduction was because she refused to delay an Emirates flight bound for Dubai on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, which had operatives of the National Security and National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) on the flight manifest.

Reports suggest on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the flight had its doors practically closed and prepared for takeoff when three passengers Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Benjamin Ansah, Operations Director of the NSB, an agency of the National Security Council, and Rashida Saani Nasamu arrived late at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

Rashida Saani Nasamu, a first-class passenger was heard on the phone at the Kotoka International Airport in the presence of Kwabena Adu-Boahene, giving orders that they deal with Sylvia which the Emirates staff overheard and told their boss Sylvia, who informed them to note Rasheeda’s intimidation and blame her if anything unfortunate occurred to her.

The three disgruntled passengers, led by Benjamin Adu Boahene, linked to the National Security Coordinator, Edward Asomani, eventually flew to Dubai the following day on a different flight.

However, the information gathered suggests one of the two National Security officials was also heard publicly swearing to deal with her over the matter.

Rumors suggest influential government insiders who are closer to the National Security Coordinator, Edward Asomani and Nana Attobrah Quaicoe have paid a visit to the home of Sylvia’s family to beg her not to go public.

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, around 07:30 in the evening outside of her home off the Spintex road in Accra. Her vehicle was left in her residence while she was never home. The case was reported to the Ghana Police Service who began investigation into the matter.

According to a statement by the Ghana Police Service, Madam Sylvia Baah was rescued and reunited with her family on Saturday, November 23, 2024, morning. The statement also indicated that suspects involved in the alleged kidnapping were not found during the rescue, but the police are still on the search for them.
