SHOCKING – Nsawam Prisoner defrauds lady of over GHS30,000

A prisoner at the Nsawam Prison has defrauded a lady identified as Sahadatu from Kumasi who was a household in Dubai of over GHS30,000 and has attempted to blackmail her with her naked videos.

The information gathered reveals the prisoner introduced himself as a marine engineer in the US to the lady on Facebook.

According to the lady, she was working as a house help in Dubai when she met a man named Sadat on Facebook, who claimed to be a marine engineer working at sea in the US. Over time, they developed a relationship through phone and video calls.

Narrating her story to Crime Check TV, the young lady stated that Sadat introduced her to a woman he claimed to be his mother in Ghana, who advised her, and later they discussed marriage.

Eventually, Sadat and the woman convinced her to leave her job in Dubai and travel to Ghana for the traditional marriage.

According to her Sadat claimed he was shipping a container with wedding items, so she should pay 15,000 for him Sadat also paid 15,000. When it arrived, she was told she had to pay GHS 30,000 at the port to clear the goods. She managed to pay half of the amount.

When the claimed goods arrived the driver delivering the container claimed he had been intercepted by the Customs Officers who claimed they had detected money in the container, so they also wanted 20,000 cedis.

She added that she informed the man, Sadat, who asked her to pay because he was on a ship working and had no money. She detailed that she borrowed 15,000 from her sister to be given to the customs officers. After sending the money the driver never delivered the container.

The duped lady further detailed that there were no signs the man was evil and that his claimed mother used to advise her also mentioning the name of God, and the man sent her mum 500 cedis to buy sugar and milk.

She asserted that it is not all men that women must believe.
