Sam George in a statement addressed to the management of Wontumi TV asserted that he has noticed with great disdain and revulsion the distasteful and grossly unprofessional content of Wontumi TV.

Speaking on Wontumi TV Henry Nana Boakye boldly claimed, “I am begging you the 7th, John Mahama is not part, it is only number 1, if you go just number 1 alone”.

Nana Boakye’s claims come after the Ghana Police Service arrested Oheneba Nana Asiedu of the Wontumi FM to assist them in an investigation in connection with the publication of fake news.

Oheneba Nana Asiedu claimed that the Electoral Commission has decided to split the election into two days. According to him, on 7th December, Ghanaians would only be allowed to vote for candidates in positions 1 to 7 on the ballot paper, and on the following day, they could vote for candidates in positions 8 to 13.

Sam George in a statement on X wrote, “You have made it a point to constantly deceive and misinform the general public on the mode of voting and processes for voting in the upcoming elections. This act is calculated, deliberate, malicious, capricious, ill-intended, evil and wicked”.

“I seek to remind you that your broadcasting license issued by the National Communications Authority Ghana came with strict guidelines and terms for issuance. A breach of those terms is valid legal grounds for the revocation of the license”, Sam George emphasized.

As Deputy Ranking Member of the Select Committee on Communications for the Parliament of Ghana, Sam George reminded Wontumi TV of their responsibilities under the terms of their license and reminded them that soon, the consequences of their actions would be handled accordingly.
