A piece of sad news has hit the Kufuor family.
According to reports the son of former Minister of Defense, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor, Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr. has died.
The sad news was broken by veteran Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah.
In a Post on Facebook, Fred Kyei Mensah wrote, “Senior Addo Kufuor of Guggisberg House, Class of 83/85 and the son of Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor former Minister of Defense in President Kufuor’s administration whose picture is on the left”.
The late Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr was a former President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and served as the President of the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines.
The late Addo-Kufuor Jnr began his career with AngloGold Ashanti, where he held roles, including director, vice president of corporate affairs, and head of finance for AngloGold Ashanti’s West Africa Operations.
He later joined Newmont Africa, where he held the positions of Regional Chief Financial Officer and Regional Vice President for Government Relations.
In 2016 he was appointed as the president of the Ghana Chamber of Mines until 2018
Meanwhile, there is yet to be any official confirmation of this news from the family.
