Revealed: Akufo-Addo begged NPP MPs not to pass anti-gay bill - Sam George

With the Supreme court setting December 18, 2024 as the final to hear the court case of two Ghanaians against the anti-LGBTQ bill, Sam George has made yet another revelation against the President.

According to him, two days to Parliament passing the bill, the President met with leadership of the house especially those from the Majority side pleading fervently with them not to pass the bill. He said one of such reasons for the removal of Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu is in the revelation.

Sam George who is the leading convernor of the Family Values Bill which seeks to criminalise the practice of LGBTQ in the country mentioned that, even after the plea by the President to the NPP MPs, majority of them stood on their moral grounds and supported the passing of the bill. He shared that citing the Majority leader’s instrumental involvement in the passing of the bill, he was asked to vacate his position of the majority leader.

He also revealed that, the current Majority leader who has a relationship with Richard Dela Sky, a private legal practitioner has used him to file a suit against the bill to delay its assentment. He also said, the President has successfully contracted the Chief Justice, to use court systems to delay the passing of the bill.

San George believes that, if the president does nor assent to the bill, he will go down in history as one President who lied to God.
