Personnel from the anti-robbery unit of the Ghana Police Service swiftly responded to a foiled robbery attempt at the Rahama Forex Bureau LTD in Lapaz, leading to a tense standoff with an unidentified group of armed robbers.
Eyewitnesses reported that during the attempted robbery, a female staff member of the forex bureau was taken hostage by the criminals.
The police, in a coordinated rescue effort, engaged the suspects in an attempt to both free the hostage and apprehend the robbers.
