“Our Chiefs are weak if they are not weak, the Western region will be better than Accra and Kumasi, we don’t have anything, look at our market, we heard they were building it in a 3-story building, and they have just done it round and abandoned it like that, most of our men suffering and they have died, I will not deceive you, if you like ask, go to the New Market and go and ask”, she added.

She further reiterated, “Takoradi, we have become sad, if we talk about Ghana’s region Western Region, we are not part of it”.

Last week news broke of President Akufo-Addo honoring himself by unveiling a statue of himself.

The statue is located at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi

The Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah explained that the statue honors the president’s initiatives in the region, the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, the construction of a 3-tier Sinohydro interchange, and the redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle.

Meanwhile, the above-mentioned project remains incomplete.
