The Deputy Regional Secretary for the NDC in the Ashanti Region, Baah Achamfour has revealed plans of the NPP to recruit 500 people into the police training for just three weeks to help in rigging the elections.
In an interview with Neat F.M, the Deputy regional scribe for the NDC said, knowing fully about the voter apathy that stares in their face in their stronghold, the NPP has resorted to using different tactics to rig the election in the Ashanti Region to suit their favor. He said, unluckily for them the NDC in the Region has been fed with the intels of every plan of the NPP which has made them very alert.
According to him, since it’s assumption of seat in 2017, the NPP has denied the Ashanti Region its required development and that has sored the heart of the people to teach them a lesson either by refusing to vote or voting against them. He emphasized the use of President Kufuor to appeal to them through the recent interview that was granted him.
He further shared that, the party without going through the judicious process will be training 500 policemen and women for just three weeks to come help in the rigging. He added that, all those tactics have its mastermind being the identified brigadier Opoku. He said, if the NPP continues with its plan, the NDC would have no other option than to meet them with cutlass and clubs.
