The Concerned Youths of Agyemankrom, a suburb of Dormaa Central Constituency in the Bono Region, have called on local leaders to address the community’s telecommunications network issues, which they say are hindering business growth and the overall progress of the area.

During a press conference, Mr. Agyeman Kyere, leader of the Concerned Youths, explained that Agyemankrom shares a border with Ivory Coast, making it a critical security zone.

He emphasized that the community urgently requires a reliable network signal to support communication efforts, especially in times of emergency.

Kyere revealed that while the government had installed a small network mast in the area, it had been disconnected due to persistent electricity challenges, leaving residents and business owners without the necessary tools to carry out online activities or operate their enterprises.

This has led to the collapse of several businesses, further stalling community development.

The Abakomahemaa of Agyemankrom, Nana Afia Adubea, also voiced her concerns, stating that the lack of network connectivity is one of the biggest obstacles to the community’s growth.

She called for a concerted effort from both political and traditional leaders to address the issue, highlighting how the current situation negatively affects residents’ daily lives.

Several local youths echoed these sentiments, expressing frustration over the lack of reliable network services and its impact on security and local businesses.

They warned that the ongoing network issues pose a significant risk to the community’s safety and future economic prospects.
