Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, says no artiste of his caliber has pulled off a success self-sponsored concert like he did with his 2023 BHIN concert.
According to him, he was able to fill up the 40,000 capacity Accra Sports Stadium, recording over 50,000 fans in attendance.
“The stadium was filled to capacity; the production was from my pocket and I know the amount of dollars that I spent to put that capacity. No artiste in my class has done that yet. Not to say legends however has done that yet.
“40,000 capacity was filled to 55,000 plus; the evidence is there. The staging, did you see any sponsor on that stage? That is the capacity we are talking about. So, we have to speak.
The musician argues creatives should be able to talk openly about their sacrifices and achievements without fear.
“It’s some of us who have to be speaking, it just because we don’t like to speak. We have left it for some people who feel like they are in the industry and they are personalizing it,” he remarked passionately, highlighting his sacrifices and achievements,” he passionately indicated.
Stonebwoy made history in Ghana with his BHIM concert in December last year.
The event, held at the 40,000-capacity Accra Sports Stadium, drew fans from across the country and beyond, celebrating music and culture on an epic scale.
