The member of parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has detailed that many people could have stopped the expired 22,000 bags of rice from getting to Senior High Schools in Ghana.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, if he were to be a corrupt politician he could have made a lot of money when the alerts got to him, but he has decided not to be compromised.
Speaking on the JOY NEWS AM Show, Ablakwa stated, “Look at all the people in the chain, there are many people in this chain who could have stopped this rice from getting to our schools yet it got to our schools if there was just one person who was willing to stand up to be counted to protect our children damn the consequences we will not be where we are”.
“The Buffet Stock Company is not the private company of Abdul Wahab and Nana Boakye who is the Board Chairman it is not, they are paid by us by the taxpayer and they owe us a duty of care they must explain to us why is it that they colluded with Lamens to do this rebranding, why are they operating storage facilities without the FDA license or authorization these are questions they cannot escape from, that they must respond to”, he added.
The member of parliament also added, “I could be in my constituency campaigning what people have not considered if I was a very corrupt politician you know how much I can make from some of these things, this alerts when they come to me I decide to take this part I am not going to be compromised”.
