Mahama’s 30-Day Rule: Appointees must declare assets to curb corruption

Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani has revealed that the next NDC administration will fight corruption in the country.

According to him he will implement the asset declaration system, which will make his members declare all their assets within 30 days of his assuming power.

The ex-president revealed this information while speaking at a gathering.

He said, “Our commitment is to review and enforce the asset declaration regime to promote transparency and combat corruption.

In this regard, I will require all members of my administration to declare their assets within 30 days of assuming office.

The ex-president also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of confidence the people of Ghana have in public institutions.

He specified that he plans to enhance trust by examining codes of conduct for public officials to encourage ethical leadership, professionalism, and effectiveness.
