The National Organizer for the New Patriotic Party, Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B has claimed John Mahama is not part of the December 7 elections.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Henry Nana Boakye boldly claimed, “I am begging you the 7th, John Mahama is not part, it is only number 1, if you go just number 1 alone.
Nana Boakye’s claims come after the Ghana Police Service arrested Oheneba Nana Asiedu of the Wontumi FM to assist them in an investigation in connection with the publication of fake news.
Oheneba Nana Asiedu claimed that the Electoral Commission has decided to split the election into two days. According to him, on 7th December, Ghanaians would only be allowed to vote for candidates in positions 1 to 7 on the ballot paper, and on the following day, they could vote for candidates in positions 8 to 13.
Meanwhile, a deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Bossman Asare, has reiterated that the 2024 elections will be taking place on December 7, 2024.
According to Bossman Asare, all the necessary procedures have been put in place to ensure a smooth, fair, transparent, and credible electoral process on December 7.
Bossman Asare was reacting to a viral video of Oheneba Nana Asiedu of the Wontumi FM who in a two-minute video claimed that the Electoral Commission has decided to split the election into two days.
