The Assembly Members have vowed to resist any attempt by the Assembly or the Ministry of Health to demolish the facility without a clear and proper plan for its reconstruction.

In a letter intercepted by Yawa News, the sector minister, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, instructed the management of Teshie Community Clinic to relocate to allow space for the rehabilitation project.

According to the Minister, the Teshie community has experienced significant population growth, placing additional pressure on the clinic, which is struggling to meet the increasing healthcare needs.

The Ministry of Health, therefore, plans to rehabilitate the facility to address these challenges and mitigate the risks posed by its current condition.

However, the concerned Assembly Members, addressing a press conference, expressed skepticism about the availability of funds for the project.

They also raised concerns about the agency responsible for approving the plans and the specific scope of the rehabilitation work. Rees Nii Armah Quaye, the spokesperson for the group, emphasized the need for transparency and a well-documented plan before any action is taken.
