Ghanaian and West Ham midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has been nominated for the 2024 FIFA Puska’s Award.
His nomination comes on the back of his stunning goal against Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League earlier this year.
The youngster’s stunning strike showcased his exceptional skill, speed, and vision.
Kudus’ goal was a masterclass in individual brilliance.
He collected the ball on the halfway line, beating several defenders with his quick feet and agility before unleashing a powerful shot with his weaker foot that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
Having already claimed West Ham United’s Goal of the Season, Kudus will now vie with top contenders from around the world for the prestigious honor.
Meanwhile, Manchester Unoited’s Alejandro Garnacho’s acrobatic overhead kick against Everton and Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco unbelievable goal from just outside the circle against Frosinone have also been nominated for the top award.
Hassan Al Haydos of Qatar, Terry Antonis of Australia, Walter Bou of Argentina, Michaell Chirinos of Honduras and Hull City’s Jaden Philogene complete the list.
The winner will be presented with the award at the FIFA Awards to be held in January 2025.
