In a response to the announcement, a Journalist with Citi F.M and Private Legal Practitioner, Richard Dela Sky has vowed to sue the Electoral Commission if it does not rescind it decision to limit Journalists and media houses. He described the decision by the E.C as whimsical, unjustifiable and irresponsible.

He mentioned that the decision by the Electoral Commission must not and can not stand because it directly denies and violates the freedom given to the media by the constitution. He also shared that the constitution lays it clear it stance against the decision to gag and unlawfully limit the operations of the media within the country.

Richard Dela Sky who is among the two individuals who filed a suit against the passing of the anti-gay bill by parliament shared that, if the Electoral Commission in the next days does not come out to rescind it’s decision then, it will leave him with no option than to sue the E.C.

He further opined that if the Electoral Commission goes ahead with its decision to deny some media men into the collation spaces then it will give room to fuel the notion that it plans to do bad things in the collation room.
