Selorm Dramani Dzramado who is running as an Independent candidate for Member of Parliament (MP) in the NDC stronghold of Central Tongu, sparked controversy by mounting billboards that featured both himself as the MP candidate and Mahama as his preferred presidential candidate.

The NDC has taken legal action against him, arguing that his public endorsement of Mahama violates party lines and could cause confusion among voters.

Selorm, however, defends his actions, asserting that he is not a presidential candidate and has the right to support the candidate of his choice.

His lawyer, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, shared the story on his Facebook page, calling the case “bizarre” and “one of the most novel legal issues” he’s encountered in an election cycle.

He described the case as both humorous and legally complex, as it raises questions about the rights of independent candidates in an election.

In a post from Sogakope, Barker-Vormawor expressed his pride in representing his client, despite the unusual nature of the case, and confirmed that he will appear at the Sogakope Circuit Court at 9 am today to represent Dzramado in court.
