Social media influencer KalyJay has quizzed the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia after he claimed to have created 2.6 million jobs during COVID and the Russia-Ukraine war.
The social media influencer, KalyJay questioned what stopped Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia from stabilizing the cedis during the COVID and Russia-Ukraine as he claimed the government during the time created 2.6 million jobs.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his engagement with Ghanaian youths yesterday is quoted saying, “If even with COVID and the Russia-Ukraine war we’ve been able to create 2.6 million jobs, imagine what these next years under my presidency will look like”.
Reacting to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s statement on X, Kalyjay wrote, “if u created 2.6 million jobs during COVID and the Russia-Ukraine war, what stopped you from stabilizing the cedis too during that period ??”.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was touted to Ghanaians as the economic Wizkid and economic messiah in opposition but fast forward to today, Ghana is back on an IMF program this time with him being the vice president of the country with the cedi depreciating to the dollar rapidly.
