The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande has stated if the NPP touches anybody anywhere in the about 48,000 polling stations the NDC is prepared to respond proportionately.
According to him, the NDC still has scars of the people who were killed in the last elections.
Speaking in an interview on Onua FM, he detailed, “ As we speak, we still have the scars of people that were killed and they are all NDC people, and I am just saying that the lessons we have learned if we are coming out of the elections with another NDC member on the ground a prominent NPP member will be on the ground”.
“That one let me give you the assurance, without apology and without reservation if the NPP starts any violence, if they touch anybody anywhere in the about 48,000 polling stations, we have prepared to proportionately respond with recurs to the police”, he added.
He further added, “If the police do not ensure that does not happen, because we are going into an election, NPP should try and be vigilant, the NDC will be vigilant, the one that will win and the one that loses must go home”.
“But if they use any foul means like going to engage in gunshots or start violence or beat people up NPP will regret it if that is their game plan because we are prepared to respond”, he emphasized.
Meanwhile, Political parties yesterday signed a peace pact ahead of the 2024 December elections.
