A resident of the Ashanti region has stated that if he will vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 elections he would rather sleep.
According to the young man the NPP is sharing 200 cedis and T-shirts for votes but he is going to vote for NDC John Mahama because he did well for the people of Ashanti region when he was in office.
Speaking in a self-recorded video, he stated, “Look at the shirt I am wearing, it is 200 cedis that they are giving out, I have collected the shirt and taken my 200 cedis, I will not tell you a lie, this is the money, one 100 cedis, and two 50 cedis, I have collected the money, however, If I vote for them, I will rather sleep”.
“I will vote for John Dramani Mahama, because when he came, I saw the way he helped the Ashanti region, I have collected the money and my 200 cedis, but I will not vote for them, I will vote for the NDC”, he reiterated.
The man further added that the NPP after assuming has done nothing for the people of the Ashanti region, he noted that when the Kumasi Central Market got burnt, they came to make promises, but nothing has been done.
