Presidential Candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mahama Ayariga has re-echoed his dedication towards fighting corruption in the public sector should he win the 2024 presidential elections.
The politician has promised to sleep in prison on his first night when he is elected as the president of Ghana to demonstrate he has zero tolerance for corruption.
Mahama Ayariga said he will wage a very ruthless war against corruption and will make it the most unattractive thing in the country as prison will be the home of every one caught in the act.
“I pledge on my honour that I shall never engage in corruption in my lifetime as President, as a father, as a young man, or in any capacity in Ghana.”
“I want to pledge to all of you that when I become President, I will spend my first night in prison. This will signal that anyone caught in corruption under my leadership will face the same treatment. Let us be serious,” Ayariga said on GHOne TV.
