“My vision and priority are my own,” he declared, emphasizing that his approach to governance would not be dictated by predecessors but rather guided by a commitment to transparency and public service. By pledging to “protect the public purse” and prioritize Ghana’s development over political allegiance, Bawumia’s message aims to counteract claims that his presidency would continue Akufo-Addo’s tenure. Instead, he highlighted his commitment to creating a modern, self-reliant Ghana rooted in digital innovation and economic discipline, aiming to foster a “golden age” of progress for the nation.
