Ghanaian Afrobeats Singer, Gyakie has revealed that at the beginning of her musical career, she resorted to crying every three days because she felt the pressure was getting too much.

She mentioned in an interview that, the three days crying came when her hit song ‘forever’ was out there making waves and she realised there was a heavy pressure on her to release yet another hit song. She said the urge to ensure that her next songs after the ‘forever’ single were all bangers felt more of a pressure to her than a motivation and that made her shed tears every three days.

According to the songbird as she is popularly called, she has a personality of grabbing tissues and crying when she is shouted at or pressured, stating that she cannot work under pressure. She admitted that it took her quiet sometime to grow tough skin towards negative comments and feedback from fans and other musical directions.

She also explained how growing tough skin in the past years towards negative comments has built her confidence in the music industry and business. She mentioned that, she only request for water to drink now anytime she reads a bad comment coming from a bad person instead of crying.
