Dr. Hassan Ayariga during the signing of the fourth Presidential Peace Pact rekindled the remembrance of the late Madam Akua Donkor in a one minute silence observation gesture.
During his remark, the Presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress stated that at the beginning of the electoral process, the eligible candidates were 13 but along the line, they were reduced to 12 due to death. He chided the organisers and speakers of the peace pact signing for not honouring the memories of the woman who once brought smiles on the faces of all politicians and Ghanaians even with her speech.
He requested that the candidates and the dignitaries present observe a one minute observation for the woman whose picture and party logo still stays on the ballot papers while votes for her remains rejected.
He further ceased the moment to call for a strategic plan and measures that can be employed to solve the conflict happening in Bawku. He expressed worry on how electorate are going to queue up and voting amidst daily firing of gunshots in the Bawku area.
