“Go to Abossey Okai, what time is it, go to Abossey Okai tonight right now as we speak you will see mothers and babies on the floor finding a place in front of a stall to lay their heads, you are the number one country in Gold, you telling us Gold is justified that is what Bawumia is telling us, we doing Gold for oil, it is one of the most dumbest things we could do as a country”, he revealed.

In 2022 the government of Ghana through the vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia unveiled the gold for oil program with the Ghanaian cedi’s continuous depreciation to the dollar and fuel prices surpassing 20 cedis per liter.

The policy was to trade dollars for gold to buy oil to reduce the demand for foreign currency and ease the Cedi decline.
