The National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has launched a subtle attack on the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Torkonoo, to go replace Speaker Bagbin in Parliament if she wants.

Asiedu Nketiah while addressing a mammoth crowd of NDC supporters waded into the recent court ruling of the Supreme Court against the declaration of the vacant seats by Speaker Bagbin. He called on all NDC Parliamentarians to ignore calls by the NPP to return to the house until the elections are over.

According to the General Mosquito of Ghana’s politics, the interpretation of the constitution by the Supreme Court on the Vacant seats declaration was irrelevant because the constitution by the political parties on members who decide to go independent is very simple to understand. He added that, any unfavourable interpretation of the constitution by the Supreme Court will not be supported and accepted by the people.
