The lead Convener of the FixTheCountry and Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has revealed that the Ghana Police Service claimed Russians are funding him to disrupt the 2024 elections.
According to Oliver Vormawor, he has credible information that the Ghana Police Organized an event after his arrest to brief several senior Journalists about this claim.
Taking to social media to make this revelation, Oliver Barker-Vormawor wrote, “I have credible information that the Ghana Police Service organized an event after my arrest, where they briefed several and senior Journalists that they had intelligence that I was being funded by the Russians were funding me to disrupt the 2024 elections. Please reach out to me privately if you attended that briefing. You won’t be named publicly or used in any lawsuit”.
Oliver Baker-Vormawor has become the face of many protests in the country after his lead role in the Fix the Country Movement and Democracy Hub which has been putting pressure on the NPP government to prioritize the needs of the people.
