A devastating incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Gomoa Akotsi, Gomoa East District, Central Region.

Martin Okyere, a 50-year-old gas station owner, popularly known as “Italian Burger”, was shot dead by two armed robbers.

According to eyewitness, who spoke to the media, he heard multiple gunshots and rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, he found the robbers ransacking the deceased’s room, with Mr. Okyere lying in a pool of blood.

Mr. Agyei and the deceased’s daughter narrowly escaped death while attempting to rescue Mr. Okyere.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to his gunshot wounds and passed away.

Police is set to begin investigation into the death
