Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Eric Bossman Asare, has called on regional directors to submit the names of credible media houses in their areas for accreditation.

The purpose of this request is to ensure that media personnel can gain access to both the Constituency and Regional Collation Centres during the election period.

In his memo, Dr. Asare outlined the allocation for media houses at the Collation Centres.

For each Constituency Collation Centre, up to eight media houses will be accredited, including three TV stations, with two personnel allowed per station, and five radio stations, with one personnel per station.

At the Regional Collation Centres, twelve media houses will be accredited, with one TV station allowed two personnel.

Dr. Asare emphasized that the deadline for submitting the names of media houses is by the close of business today, Monday, November 25, 2024.

He further clarified that without proper accreditation, no media personnel will be permitted entry into the Collation Centres on Election Day.
