EC sets December 2 for Special Voting

The Electoral Commission has set December 2, 2024 for the special voting exercise to take place.

In an interview, the Deputy Commissioner in Charge of Corporate services at the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Bossman Asare mentioned that a maximum of 750 individuals participating in Special Voting to ensure efficiency. In cases where a center exceeds this number, it will be appropriately divided to accommodate all voters.

The special voting will be held for personnel whose duties will be essential during the main Parliamentary and Presidential elections. Journalists, Security Personnel, Election officials and other essential service providers are among those who will participate in the special elections slated for December 2, 2024.

He also revealed that over 328 voting Centers have been designated for the special voting exercise to take place effectively. He charged all security service personnel and other partakers in the special voting exercise to ensure that their names have been submitted and fully processed for the exercise to avoid any inconveniences and disenfranchising situations.
